Training this week

      This week we'll run fast repeat 400's on Tuesday, cutdown 200's on Thursday, and race our course on Saturday.  Thanks again for everyone's efforts yesterday and all the parental support.  I'm especially looking forward to turning to the anaerobic training we'll start this week and the effect it will have on your ability to race.

Monday  10/1/07  3:15 PM to 5:30 PM   Movement prep, core, drills, speed ladder, jump rope, 40 minute run, weights, rollers, stretching.

Tuesday 10/2/07   3:15 PM to 5 PM   Movement prep, 1 mile warmup on the field loop, 6 x 400 meters on the track at the pace you could currently run 800 meters - we'll start a new 400 every 5 minutes and during the rest interval we'll do the panther shuffle for 400 meters, 1 mile warmdown, stretch.

Wednesday 10/3/07   3:15 PM to 5:30 PM    Movement prep, core, drills, speed ladder, jump rope, 40 minute recovery run, weights, rollers, stretch.

Thursday  10/4/07    3:15 PM to 5 PM     Movement prep, 1 mile warmup on the field loop,  4 x 200 meter cutdowns,  1 mile warmdown.

Friday  10/5/07    2:15 PM to 3:30 PM   Movement prep, core, 30 minute easy run, stretch.

Saturday  10/6/07   Doc Jones Invitational at Annapolis HS - details coming later this week.
